Adopted by the Dillard faculty last Spring (2016) in place of preview comprehensive exam.

What does the MFT test?

To measure a student's subject knowledge and the ability to apply facts, concepts, theories and analytical methods.


How can Dillard use the MFT?

To measure student learning outcomes of their bachelor’s degree programs.


MFT and GRE are designed by the same company.

GRE predicts student success.

MFT measures the amount of student learning in the major.


Test Date

April, 2017  -  MFT is administered in the senior year after the majority of courses have been complete.


Test Questions

*Wide range of difficulty and cover depth and breadth in assessing students' achievement levels.

*Approximately 120 multiple-choice questions

*Test length  -  2 hours

*Delivery method  -  Online

*Proctored on-campus administration

*There are no make-up tests


Test Results are reported for the entire group of test takers.
