NEW ORLEANS – Dillard University received $250,000 from telecommunications corporation AT&T
for its College of Business. The College of Business will use the funds for curriculum development,
internship opportunities and graduate school preparation. The AT&T donation will also help students
prepare for the GRE and GMAT standardized tests, used for business graduate programs acceptance.
Dillard will celebrate this achievement with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the grand opening of AT&T"s new store on August 21, 2019, at 12 p.m. The corporation's latest retail establishment is located at 4201
Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans, Louisiana.

"Dillard University has a long history of preparing young people for successful futures, where they have
an impact in their communities and cultivate opportunities for others to thrive, and we are proud to
support them as they continue to refine and enhance their programs and curriculum," said Sonia Perez, President of AT&T southern states.

This financial contribution was provided in honor of the retirement of Joyce Roche, who served on the
AT&T Board of Directors. Roche, a Dillard University alum, has had an enduring, national – and even
global – impact on the business community. In a statement, Roche shared: “Having the opportunity to
pursue a business career and launching that career through achieving an MBA allowed me to reach career
heights I never could have imagined,” she said. “I am thrilled that AT&T has provided the funds to offer
future Dillard students the same opportunity.”

In May 2019, Dillard University’s College of Business successfully obtained accreditation from the
Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The ACBSP was founded in 1988
and is a global accrediting body for business schools. It is also the only organization that offers
accreditation to all collegiate business degrees.
