Women and Men Health Exams |

Dillard University has implemented women and men health exams that specifically relates to the physical development process. Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) prevention, screening, testing and treatment are provided through the center. STI testing is not provided on a random basis, the student must have physical or visible symptoms for testing. Testing is contracted through Lab Corp an independent outpatient laboratory/diagnostic testing center. Dillard University and the Student Health and Wellness Center does not collect any payments in the center, diagnostic laboratory payments are handled directly through Lab Corp and the student’s insurance company. Students with Medicaid will be referred out to their primary care provider assigned for any diagnostic testing.
Women must fill out the Health Questionnaire for women services. Birth control, vaginal exams and Pap smears are offered through the center. These are services contracted through Lab Corp therefore all billing will be handled through Lab Corp and the student’s medical insurance company. Women desiring birth control must fill out the Birth Control Questionnaire. It will remain at the discretion of the provider as to who she prescribes birth control; women must consent to the policy and not have identifying risk factors present.
