Mass Communication

The mission of the School of Mass Communication is to prepare students to be proficient in communicating information and ideas through the utilization of media, to be qualified to hold positions in mass communication, and to gain admission to graduate and professional schools.

Nursing

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Dillard University School of Nursing. It is a program steeped in history and honor, as it was the first program in Louisiana to offer the baccalaureate in nursing. For more than 65 years, Dillard's nursing program has created an environment of educational excellence both here and abroad.

The commitment of our faculty and staff produces graduates who distinguish themselves by generating the knowledge to advance the profession, participating in the education of future nurses, working with interdisciplinary teams, and delivering care to patients in many different settings and geographic locations. Being a nurse is rewarding. Today, the growing need for caring and competent nurses makes it even more personally satisfying. It is a career that can take many paths, depending on your interests and goals. As it has for many others, the journey can start here and we invite you to join us.
