On Friday, March 22, 2013 the UNCF held it's annual UNCF/Liberty Bank Ball at Harrah's Casino, to raise money for scholarships for Dillard University students. Former Dillard president Dr. Michael L. Lomax was on hand to help raise awareness of the need for funding UNCF.

“The UNCF/Liberty Bank Ball in the City is a chance for everybody who values students and education to have a great time for a great cause,” said Michael L. Lomax, Ph.D., president and CEO, UNCF.
