Social Sciences - Urban Studies

Urban Studies & Public Policy provides the tools to understand the complex processes and structures found within urban environments where diverse interests have converged to create lands of opportunity. While urban development and revitalization can be exciting, a host of social issues lurks within neighborhoods, communities, and public institutions. Urban Studies & Public Policy graduates work on both ends of the spectrum to ensure that regulations are in place to preserve the city, to design plans that make cities viable and sustainable, and to ensure that policies are crafted to serve the needs of the public.
