Dillard Offers College Classes for High School Students PDF Print E-mail

lousiana course choiceStarting in fall 2013, New Orleans students will have the opportunity to jumpstart their college careers at Dillard University. The Course Choice program, administered by the state of Louisiana, enables high school juniors and seniors to take undergraduate courses for both high school and college credit, free of charge, at Dillard.

The program covers the costs of textbooks and transportation. The College classes are free of charge. College credits earned through Dillard’s Course Choice classes can go toward an undergraduate degree – at Dillard as well as at other colleges and universities. Dillard will offer Course Choice students the following classes: Biology 101 and Lab; Fundamentals of Writing; Expository Writing; College Algebra; Pre-Calculus; Physical Science; and Introduction to Psychology.

Students will take their classes on Dillard's campus with undergrads from more than 40 states and 14 countries while building their resumes and experiencing university life. Students in the program will be eligible to participate in activities offered by the Student Activities Board and its 45 registered clubs and organizations.
