Living away from home means new responsibilities and experiences. Our residence hall staff will work with students to ensure that their living situation is comfortable and complements their educational experiences at Dillard University.

Resident Assistants
Resident Assistants (RAs) are assigned to a group of residents on each floor or apartment complex. Serving in a leadership and supervisory role, RAs are specially trained to help students take advantage of all Dillard University student resources. They are also responsible for enforcing all university policies and procedures when appropriate and necessary.

Residence Hall Council
There are many opportunities for interested residents to become actively involved in the Residence Hall Council. The council provides a structured way for residents to take an active role in their living community. Council members strive to meet the needs of their fellow residents through recreational, educational and developmental programs and events. Hall residents elect their council officers. The residential staff invites residents to suggest programs and improvements.

Security Measures
The Office of Public Safety provides 24-hour patrols of campus facilities. Additionally, there is staff in the residence halls 24-hours a day. In the event of an emergency, call 4911.
Residents must accompany visitors at all times. Students are encouraged to keep the doors to their rooms locked and follow common sense safety precautions.

A curfew is enforced for all Dillard University students. Curfew hours are as follows:

Sunday – Thursday: 12:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Friday – Saturday: 1:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.
