The S.T.E.M. School seeks to satisfy the needs of five groups of students:
UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES Students in the School of STEM have the unique fortune of being part of a systemic mentoring program. Hands-on research with faculty mentors allow students to gain valuable experiences unlike any other. At Dillard, it is not uncommon for students to have published works in leading scientific journals. Constructive research ensure students will be trained to succeed. CONFERENCES, RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES Invitations for students to attend regional and national research conferences such as the Emerging Researchers National Conference in STEM, are part of the Dillard experience. Paid summer programs and scholarship opportunities are also available, with generous stipends and assistance with housing, travel and accommodations. Dillard students are encouraged to apply for research opportunities at major institutions such as Duke University, MIT, Harvard University and Yale. Many Dillard alumni go on to Graduate and PhD studies at other noteable schools such as Fisk, Vanderbilt and many others. |







The Dillard University School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) under the College of Arts and Sciences, offers undergraduate programs leading to the Bachelor of Science degree. The hallmark of the college long been its commitment to providing a quality education for students majoring in the natural sciences disciplines. Students and faculty have access to the new Professional Schools and Sciences Building that houses research and wet laboratory facilities, a conference room, a state-of-the-art computer laboratory/electronic classroom, an amphitheater and a Learning Resource Center where students may receive tutorial and advisory assistance.
