Thirty-five individuals who register online will be selected to come to be on-site participants. On-site participants will be notified by email and a confirmation of participation must be returned by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Rules

• Each of the 35 on-site participants may bring one person (either a friend or a relative/parent) to help as part of the “Ask a Friend” Lifeline.

• There are three (3) Lifelines available to contestants.

• “50:50” – Only available for questions 4 and 5.

• “Poll the Audience” – Available only for questions 6 and 7.

• “Ask a Friend” – Only available for questions 8 and 9. The “Friend or Parent” must be physically present at time of competition.

• Competition rules and guidelines will be delineated on day of competition.

Student Research

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH at Dillard adds value and variety to student's educational experience. With mentoring by faculty members outside the classroom, students in any discipline have opportunities for continuous support to engage in research and creative work in an area of interest. Students develop research or creative projects, collect data, and present findings in a research paper, the Annual Symposium as well as local, regional and national conferences. Students often win awards for their work and eligible projects are considered for publication in the Dillard Univesity Journal of Undergraduate Research (DUJOUR). 

Through Undergraduate Research, students build important relationships with key faculty members. If the research or creative work is within a field that you intend to pursue in graduate school or career, this experiences can provide very direct benefits.

Creating new knowledge does not have to wait until your Senior project or Honors thesis. First year and transferring students are encouraged to begin student-initiated research and creative work in their major today. Begin expanding your academic experience by assisting in a research or creative project with a faculty mentor. Workshops, clinics, funding and other support are available to help you succeed in your projects.
