Mazda Donates Cars to D.U. PDF Print E-mail

Last week Mazda North American Operations, in cooperation with Paretti Mazda of Metairie, presented four new cars to Dillard University on campus in Kabacoff Plaza. Dillard will lease the cars, all 2009 Mazda 6 editions, for seven years at a cost of $1 apiece. The cars will be used for public safety and operational uses as assigned by Dillard University President Dr. Marvalene Hughes.

"For over 10 years, the Mazda foundation has supported dozens of scholarships for Dillard University business students," said Dr. Hughes. "We thank the foundation for their continued support, and we thank Mazda North American Operations for their generous donation."

This year the Mazda Foundation is supporting scholarships for 24 Dillard Business School students.

The purpose of the Student Government Association is threefold: (1) to act as a clearinghouse for student opinions; (2) to provide a bridge between students, faculty, and administration; and (3) to enable students to engage in a democratic process of
self-governance.

All students enrolled at Dillard University are members of the Student Government Association’s executive council and are allowed to vote in SGA elections.
