Education
Dr. Hussain finished his Ph.D. in financial economics from the University of New Orleans in July 2007. Dr. Hussain also has an M.A. in economics from the University of Texas at Arlington (2002). He has a master's of social science (M.S.S.) and a bachelor of social science (B.S.S.) degree from Dhaka University in Bangladesh.
Research Interests
Dr. Hussain's research interests include financial institutions, investments and macroeconomics.
Professional Accomplishments
Mohammed Ershad Hussain joined the faculty in August 2007. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and Finance. Dr. Hussain has received several awards in the field of regulation of commercial banks. He received the McGraw Hill Best Paper Award at the Federation of Business Discipline Conference in Dallas in 2010. He has published in several national and international economics and finance related journals.
