Dr. Taku teaches in the areas of management, marketing and international business due to his strong multidisciplinary academic and professional background.
Dr. Taku’s publications reflect his interest in inter-organizational relationships and strategy with a focus on resource-based systems and behavioral theories to explain organizational effectiveness, competitiveness and performance. His current research agenda includes organizational capacity building, governance, and strategy for competitive advantage and sustainability.
Dr. Taku’s professional experience includes serving in professorial, management and leadership positions. He has served as a professor of international business at both public and private universities. Highlights of his professional experience include serving as the founding director of the Center for Business and Economic Development at Lincoln University in Missouri, and dean of the Division of Business and Administration at Talladega College in Alabama. Dr. Taku has been an evaluator and organizational capacity building consultant for both nonprofit and profit organizations. He has been published in the Journal of World Trade, Competitiveness Review, and the Journal of International Business Disciplines.
