The College of Business provides students with many opportunities. These opportunities include the annual study abroad opportunities, participation in student organizations, scholarships and internships and the unique opportunity to provide service through our neighboring community.

--VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program provides students with hands on experience in preparing income taxes for the community. Supervised by Mrs. Helen Bougere, she along with her staff, students and faculty members provide a much needed service  to the community. In addition, it provides Dillard University the opportunity to give back to the community.

The program files income individual tax returns, Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m during tax filing season. Walk-ins are welcome.

-- Tabasco® Program

Business student interns have the opportunity to participate in the Tabasco Internship Program. Each year, students are selected to work with Tabasco® in exploring and testing marketing strategies, advertising, promotions and participating in a student competition. Students compete with other students from Xavier University, Southern University an A&M College, Grambling University and Southern University of New Orleans.

--American Marketing Association Club

The Marketing concentration is well suited for students who are outgoing and interested in satisfying consumers’ needs. Students are encouraged to explore these interests through participation in the Tabasco® Internship and membership in our chapter of the American Marketing Association. Typical entry level positions in Marketing include advertising account executive , retail management, and sales in industries such as pharmaceuticals and consumer products.

--Personal Finance and Investment Club

 The personal finance and investment club provides students the opportunity to learn about personal finance and investment concepts to help them in their financial journey. From asset allocation to retirement investing, throughout the year students participate in business seminars to help them learn about their personal finances.

 --National Association of Black Accountants

The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) provides leadership experience to students inspiring to be an accounting or finance professional. This organization provides students with steps to ensure career success. Throughout the year, students are afforded with the opportunity to network with accounting and finance professionals. Students are also able to learn how to build their resume, learn interviewing techniques, obtain "hands on experience" and understand the steps necessary to become successful accounting and finance professionals.

-- Champions of the American Dream

Champions of the American Dream is an initiative of the Dillard University College of Business designed to recognize local business leaders. The event honors one Dillard alum and one non-alum annually. In 2011, Dillard recognized Beverly McKenna and Larry Lundy at its inaugural Champions ceremony.
