Oct. 22-23, Kevin Powell, political activist and humanitarian, will lead workshops for male and female students respectively on domestic violence.

Nov. 1, Dr. Dixon will also be featured in panel discussing her book, N.O. Lit: 200 Years of New Orleans Literature at the Louisiana Book Festival on Saturday, November 1, from 11-11:45 with a book signing to follow.

Nov. 20-24, Dr. Dixon will be presenting her essay, “Lyle Saxon’s ‘The Centaur Plays Croquet,’ an Improvised Life,” at the Faulkner Words and Music Festival, November 20-24, and her essay has been published in the online journal, Double Dealer Redux.
