    Dillard Theatre Showcases Student Productions PDF Print E-mail

    Dillard University's Theatre Ensemble is presenting a series of one-act plays written and created by elementary schoolers in partnership with Goat in the Road Productions on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013. This is the second year the group has worked on such a collaboration.

    Congratulations are in order for Dillard alumna Regenia Moore-Lee, for her Social Justice and Human Rights Award given to her by the Pi Theta Omega chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Moore-Lee and her husband, also a Dillard alumnus, both graduated top of their class from Dillard.

    centenary smallDillard President Dr. Walter Kimbrough acknowledges the financial challenges universities and colleges feel in the current economic climate. Centenary College, which took in Dillard students during Hurricane Issac, has gone through some very tough changes.

    “We’ve all had to make sacrifices and really determine what our colleges and universities are about,” Kimbrough said. “But there is still value to a private education, and students continue to see that.”

    Dillard University will join other universities for CollegeWeekLive STEM Day, an online college fair scheduled for Thursday May 9th from 2:00 to 10:00 PM Eastern. The virtual college admissions event offers high school students interested in science, technology, engineering, or math the opportunity to chat live online with admissions representatives and current colleges students who will be showcasing their institutions’ STEM majors and research opportunities.
