The Dillard University Choir will perform with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra for the 40th Annual Liberty Bank Holiday Concert. The event takes place in Xavier University's new Convocation Center on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at 8 p.m.

The 2012 Justice O. Ortique Jr. Lecture Series with guest speaker Michelle Alexander, was a huge success. With standing room only in Georges Auditorium, the crowd listened to acclaimed author and polticial activist Alexander share insights into racial discrimination and mass incarceration.

Dillard University will host several film screenings and lectures as part of the 2012 Social Change Film Festival.
SCFFI features five days of films, panels, workshops, and special events to inspire a global community focused on expanding the reach of conscious social change film and media. SCFFI chooses an annual theme that is explored throughout the festival’s events in order to raise awareness about critical social, environmental, and political issues. The theme for the 2012 festival is Water: Challenges & Solutions.
