A school district in Grand Rapids, MI is looking to connect with HBCUs. Hoping to create a recruitment pipeline, schools in the district will share information about programs, scholarships and enrollment of HBCUs across the country. Dillard University is one HBCU the school district is hoping to connect with.

Dillard University Theater's production of the August Wilson play "Two Trains Running" will run from Nov. 9 - 18, in the Samuel Cook Theater. Ray Vrazel will direct the award-winning play.

Tom Dent Literary Festival at Dillard |

Dillard University is proud to be a part of the 2012 Tom Dent Literary Festival. Held in the PSB on Saturday, Nov. 3, 7 – 9 p.m., the Tom Dent forum will feature readings from writers T. Geronimo Johnson, Valentine Pierce, Chancelier “Xero” Skidmore and Olympia Vernon.

Bringing Bands Back Post Katrina |

Helping schools to bring back the tradition of marching bands is an important project. Dillard University is doing its part by hosting the Institute of Jazz Camp, on Saturday mornings in the Samuel Cook building. The program is sponsored by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
