    Dillard Students Visit Historic Customs House PDF Print E-mail

    Dillard University marketing students had the unique opportunity to take a class outside of the campus. Under the leadership of Dillard professor Dr. Richard Igwike, the students visited the Historic Customs House on Canal Street to learn about trade in the New Orleans area. Import Specialist Lisa R. Jackson and Agriculture Specialist Terenza Swims spoke with the class about their official duties to enable the students to become more of aware of what U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) does.

    Renowned musical group The Imani Winds, bring their talent to the Dillard campus on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 4 p.m. Beginning with a family concert geared for children ages 7 and up, the dynamic group will follow the concert with a Master Class.

    Dillard alumnus Napoleon Bracy, D-Prichard, has been named Chairman of the Alabama Legislative Black Caucus. 

    Serving a two year term, Bracy said he and caucus members will work for quality education for all children, equal rights and pay for minorities and women, transparent government and the protection of voting rights.

    Dillard University and the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice are hosting a Climate Change Student Conference. Running from Thursday, April 4  2013 through Saturday, April 6, 2013 the gathering will see 10 HBCU schools and their students on the Dillard campus discussing climate change science.

    Dillard's Two Trains Running Wins Big Easy Award PDF Print E-mail

    Dillard University's Theater Department has plenty to be proud of. Their production of "Two Trains Running" was the winner of a 2012 Big Easy Theater Award, for Best University Production. Faculty member Ray Vrazel was on hand to receive the award.
