A gathering of black leaders and HBCU presidents meet in Washington, D.C. next week for the White House Initiative on Black Colleges conference. Much of their discussion will be about HBCU presidential vacancies and potential candidates. Dillard's Dr. Walter Strong is mentioned as a highly sought prospect for a top position as a president of an HBCU.

Ebony Magazine Gives Top Ranking to Dillard |

Dillard University has been listed as one of the top related law schools by Ebony Magazine. Ebony looked at the “program offerings, academic rigor and relative stability” of the nation’s 105 HBCUs and compiled a list of top schools in each of five disciplines: science, social sciences, liberal arts and law.

Sims will discuss the importance of knowing one’s individual rights, protocols for communicating with law enforcement, and how ACLU cases impact the law at The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Department of Communication's presentation of “Knowing and Communicating Your Rights to Law Enforcement". A question and answer session will take place after the presentations.
