Final Four Not the Only Game in Town |

Though the NCAA March Madness is surely to garner most of the limelight on the weekend of March 31, 2012, it isn't the only game in town. Dillard University will host GameBreakers, a summit organized by UWANTGAME, taking place April 1. The event, which is supported by the Open Society Foundation’s Campaign for Black Male Achievement, gets underway at 9 a.m.

On Friday, March 23, 2012 a group of Dillard University students gathered to peacefully protest the recent killing of Trayvon Martin. The students sang, chanted and prayed for justice and for peace for the family of the slain youth.

Dillard University hosts a Crime and Punishment Symposium this week entitled "African-Americans in a “Post-Racial (?) United States", with guest speakers, scholars, public officials, inmates and professors weighing in. The three-day event will be held in the Georges Auditorium in PSB.
