On Tuesday, Mar. 27, 2012, Dillard University (DU) students were honored for their academic achievements in Lawless Memorial Chapel. The 2012 Honors Convocation ceremony presented over 400 Dillard students with certificates; 25 students received recognition for a perfect GPA of 4.0.

Faculty, staff, students and alumni were present, as well as several families and friends of the honorees. Dr. James Earl Lyons Sr, Interim President of Dillard University, gave the official address and stated that he continues to learn about commitment and focus from Dillard students.
