Psychology is both an applied field that studies the human mind and behavior. Research in psychology seeks to understand and explain how we think, act and feel. The Department of Psychology is designed to offer a solid background in psychological science that will prepare students for graduate work in psychology and for entrance into the job market. In addition to an extensive curriculum in traditional psychological studies, psychology students participate in clinical and research activities that give them the practical experience in the application of psychological principles.
