Mission
The Department of Public Health seeks to prepare students for positions in health systems management, community health education and health sciences (pre-professional) through practical experience and
education.The Department provides the highest quality of undergraduate education based on excellence in teaching, applied research, and services.
Objectives
- To provide a diverse and academically sound Public Health program which equips students with knowledge, research, and current practices in the field of public health.
- To prepare majors in public health for admissions to graduate and or professional schools.
- To prepare students in the public health department to compete successfully in the job market.
- To accommodate non-public health majors, who need public health courses.
