The Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) links the Will W. Alexander Library to libraries throughout the United States for interlibrary loan shared cateloging and shared collections (e-Books). The library is a member of the Louisiana Library Network (LOUIS). The library provides electronic access to over 8,000 full-text journals and abstracts through Pro-Quest, EBSCOhost and Journal Storage (JSTOR). The Will W. Alexander archives include first edition works of African-American writers such as Langston Hughes, Countee Cullen and Frederick Douglass; papers and minutes of the AMA Church, and other historical documents pertaining to the history of Gilbert Academy, Straight College, New Orleans University and Dillard University. |
