The Center for Intensive English Language (CIEL) is a non-credit program offered at Dillard
 University through the Office of International Students and Study Abroad Programs. A form of provisional admissions is granted to international students from non-English speaking countries and those residing in the United States are who have successfully completed the program. CIEL has numerous objectives.
Some of CIEL’s objectives are:
To provide students with reading, writing, listening, speaking, and cultural awareness skills.
To cultivate an understanding of the language and study skills necessary for success as academic students in the United States, and especially at Dillard University.
To foster intercultural awareness through meaningful classroom and off-campus experiences.
