The Office of Public Safety provides a staff of armed officers who monitor and patrol the campus twenty-four hours a day. The primary responsibility of these officers is to protect the life and property of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. However, the Office is also responsible for enhancing students’ educational experiences by providing information sessions and workshops on safety and security that will help them lead safe, healthy, and productive lives.

All of Dillard University’s officers are licensed and certified by the Louisiana Board of Private Security Examiners and commissioned by the City of New Orleans.
