 PRE-COLLEGIATE EDUCATIONAL TALENT SEARCH

What is the Talent Search Program?

Dillard University’s Educational Talent Search Program is a pre-collegiate program developed to increase the graduation rates of potential first-generation college students. The targeted middle and high schools are generally located in the Greater New Orleans area.

The program receives funding from the US Department of Education and is designed to identify and assist students from underrepresented groups, and families with children who have the potential to succeed in higher education. It provides academic, career, and financial aid counseling to participants from ages 11 to 27 and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to the postsecondary vocational school or college of their choice. The program also serves individuals who have not earned their high school diploma by encouraging them to reenter the educational system and complete their education.
