Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act Print
Dillard University students have specific rights and privileges regarding the University’s maintenance, release and disposal of personal information records.

The University:
May not disclose personally identifiable information about students nor permit inspection of their records without written permission, unless such action is covered by certain exception permitted by the FERPA ACT.

May release information about a student to school officials and to certain federal, state, and local government agencies without obtaining prior written consent.

Must provide students access to their educational records.
