Melton Foundation Symposium 2008 Print

Climate Change: Global Perspectives on Going Green
From Sep. 28 to Oct. 6, 2008, Dillard University hosted the annual Melton Foundation Symposium. Students examined climate change from diverse geographic, cultural, political, and disciplinary perspectives. Approximately 200 Melton Fellows, partner university faculty, Dillard students, and members of the New Orleans community joined outside experts to discuss climate change and its causes, consequences, and mitigation. The Symposium also included intercultural communication and global leadership development activities for the Fellows related to their responsibilities in the governance of the global network sponsored by the Melton Foundation.

We, the Dillard University (US) branch of the Melton Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to all our international friends who joined us in celebrating the 2008 Melton Foundation Annual Symposium.

Detailed information from the 2008 Symposium has been archived on this site in commemoration of what was a very special week. Please use the arrows at the bottom of this page to browse and learn more. Dillard looks forward to hosting this wonderful event once again!
