Greetings!
Thank you very much for attending Reunion 2007. It was a wonderful weekend, filled with events that everyone enjoyed. The weather was beautiful and most important; we graduated 182 students who have been well prepared to enter graduate and professional schools and their various careers. What made this year’s Reunion extra special was the outstanding and generous participation of our Dillard Alumni!
I want to thank each and every one of you who came and added your spirit to our tradition of excellence and heritage. You are the ones who made this year’s Reunion special. It was fun, it was exciting and it was moving—all thanks to you, the Alumni!
I particularly want to thank our Golden Alumni Class of 1957, who, under the leadership of Mr. Victor Vavasseur, added to the majesty of Commencement and the joy of Reunion. Many of you may not be aware, but the Class of 1957 was not able to march through the Avenue of the Oaks for their Commencement because of inclement weather. This year, on May 19th, the Golden Graduates were finally able to make that tradition their own. We salute and thank them.
Here at Dillard, we are already looking forward to next year, when we hope to see all of you. Please look for information on our web site soon regarding Reunion 2008.
Sincerely,
Marc A. Barnes
Assistant Vice President for Development and
Alumni Relations
