NEW ORLEANS CULTURE

New Orleans is regarded by some as America’s “most African city” which makes the marriage between Dillard and NOLA magical. By studying at Dillard, students get their fill of intellectual capital while also getting a nice helping of authentic cultural capital.

For example, students can also get a glimpse of the city’s African roots on campus through the Ray Charles Program in African American Material Culture.

Film studies majors can gain access to the area’s thriving “Hollywood South” scene while other Dillard students can enjoy the city’s arts, entertainment and literary scene.

We even get to enjoy the occasional New Orleans “Second Line” on campus.
