LAMP - GRE Preparation Workshops

Dillard University’s LS-LAMP/GAELA Grant Programs and The School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are sponsoring GRE Preparation Workshops.

TEST REVIEW INSTITUTE PAST SUCCESSES: The Test Review Institute is a Louisiana-owned business with 26 years of experience in preparing students for graduate-level standardized admissions tests. The Test Review institute has provided instruction to over 11,000 students. The Test Review Institute administrators and faculty have conducted custom designed review workshops for the Natural Sciences Division at Dillard University on several occasions, prior to Hurricane Katrina with excellent response. The Test Review Institute has also designed and conducted courses for Tulane and Loyola Universities - New Orleans, the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge (Sixth consecutive years), Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.

The workshops presented by the Test Review Institute to the LS-LAMP/GAELA programs of Dillard University are geared toward the undergraduate student majoring in the sciences. The goal is to improve students’ chances of admission to graduate programs by improving their GRE score–one of the most important factors in determining eligibility for admission as well as scholarship monies. Our Spring 2012 Pre-Post GRE Course exams have indicated significant gains in scores.

The GRE workshops to be conducted by the Test Review Institute will cover comprehensively all scored areas of the test – Arithmetic & Algebra; Geometry (Discrete Questions for Quantitative Reasoning), Vocabulary, (Discrete Questions) Sentence Completion, Reading Comprehension; and Analytical Writing.
