About Dillard Nursing

The mission of the College of Nursing is to prepare courageous future nurse leaders who are ethical and communicate effectively and therapeutically respecting the diversity of peoples in all health care settings to improve the human condition. 

 

Our mission, philosophy and learning outcomes emerge from a composite of pedagogy, scholarship, and service which supports critical thinking, effective communication, continuous knowledge, and skillful performance.

The commitment of our faculty and staff produces graduates who distinguish themselves by generating the knowledge to advance the profession, participating in the education of future nurses, working with interdisciplinary teams, and delivering care to patients in many different settings and geographic locations.

The College of Nursing is located in the Professional Schools and Sciences Building (PSB) in suite 102.

 

The building, which opened in 2010, features six nursing laboratories including a high-tech simulation laboratory. Each specialty area has its own designated laboratory.

 

The 130,000 square-foot PSB also houses academic and research programs for the College of Health and Wellness, the College of Business, and the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The building has a common grand entrance, the atrium, that serves as a focal point for community and student interaction.
