They are motivated academic achievers and they are parents. Finding the right balance between a demanding degree program and a full range of real-life responsibilities is never easy, especially when those real-life responsibilities include raising a child or children.
The Single Parent Resource Center is designed to support academically qualified single men and women who are ages 18 to 25 at the time of their enrollment and the parents of one or two children ages 9 months to 10 years old.
Choosing from the University’s outstanding programs of study, young parents enjoy the opportunity to complete an undergraduate degree in an environment that supports their needs and the needs of their child or children. Program benefits include campus housing (fees apply) and the support services offered by the University.
PROGRAM GOALS
Earn a baccalaureate degree from Dillard University;
Successfully balance academic, work, and family obligations;
Become economically self-sufficient in their chosen field of study;
Be responsible and contributing members of the community; and
Live and learn on campus with their children.
