Dillard University offers a variety of ways that you can stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle as a DU student. It is important to make sure that you take care of yourself both mentally and physically. A bonus to staying active at the fitness center or by participating in one of DU’s intramural or club sports, is that you will meet others who share your enthusiasm for health and wellness.
Use of the Fitness Center facility is Free to DU students.
Dillard University has a new fitness center that offers a variety of drop-in classes. Join in on Hip-Hop Dance, Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing or Spin to get your heart pumping. If you are looking for something to help you to de-stress or maintain focus you can also participate in martial arts or yoga classes. Our trained fitness instructors will be there to motivate you to stay fit and healthy. There is a class for everyone!
Intramural Sports – Joining an Intramural team is not only a way to enjoy friendly and fun competition but is also a great way to meet other students on campus who also enjoy playing some of your favorite sports.
Club Sports – If you still want to play competitively but are not trying out for one of our NAIA athletic teams, you may be interested in one of our clubs that include Martial Arts and Soccer.
You may also want to start your own club if we don’t offer a sport you are interested in.
The University offers four Rubico clay tennis courts. Enjoy exclusive use of these facilities during the day or under the lights during the evenings.
