Dillard University proudly celebrates Natalie Linney, Class of 2023, on her incredible achievement as an Emmy Award-winning producer! This past weekend, Natalie won a Midsouth Emmy Award in the category of “Societal Concerns” for her work as Producer on the powerful documentary, What We’ll Never Know.
The film tells the gripping story of an African American teenager in Memphis who falsely confessed to a murder. Beyond its impact on screen, the documentary played a pivotal role in the unanimous passing of a Tennessee law requiring police officers to audio and video record interrogations with minors.
Natalie’s work exemplifies the power of storytelling to spark change, and we are beyond proud of her dedication to justice and advocacy through film. Congratulations, Natalie, on this well-deserved honor!
