10th Annual Health Summit to Unite Leaders AroundLA40by2030 and the Future of Health for Louisiana’s

WHAT: The Louisiana Center for Health Equity, in collaboration with the Louisiana Department of Health, New Orleans Health Department, and Dillard University, will host their 10th Annual Health Summit: LA40by2030 Mapping the Distance to the Goal. The summit brings together leading voices from across the state and country with a focus on improving health outcomes in Louisiana through the lens of health equity and the structural drivers and determinants of health. With a particular focus on women and children, the aim is to continue progress toward LA40by2030 by expanding collaboration, engagement, and policy solutions that improve health outcomes and the quality of life for Louisiana children and families. Our bold goal is for Louisiana to rank in the top 40 states for health outcomes by the year 2030.

The 2025 Health Summit is celebrating 10 years of being dedicated to health equity and exploring innovative approaches and strategies to improve the health and well-being of our communities. Since its inception, the Health Summit has grown into a powerful platform for collaboration, strategy, and action toward better health outcomes for all Louisianans.

BACKGROUND: The Louisiana Center for Health Equity (LCHE) is dedicated to advancing health equity to improve the overall health and well-being of all Louisianans. LCHE works to eliminate health and healthcare disparities attributed to structural, institutional, or social disadvantages. LCHE is a statewide nonpartisan nonprofit organization with IRS status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity established in January 2010. LCHE is independently governed by a Board of Directors with a unique approach to improving community health in service to and for the people of Louisiana.
