Our theme, “Welcome to DU Village,” reminds us of the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” You and I are that village.
If you have African attire, please wear it to honor our rich heritage. Your presence in African dress will be a powerful welcome to our new students and their families.
Remember, you’re not just attending a ceremony; you’re embracing new members into our village. Your being there means everything.
