Dillard University Writing Center

Good writing is a highly sought-after skill in the workforce and it earns people instant credibility. The Dillard University Writing Center is a free academic support service for current Dillard University students. It is a place where students may come to work on their writing projects and improve their writing skills.

The University Writing Center provides the following support for students as they matriculate at Dillard University:

  • One-on-one writing consultations on various types of writing assignments and projects.
  • Thoughtful and constructive feedbackon writing assignments.
  • Information and resources related to the writing process through topic-related sessions.
  • Writing-related workshops that focus on parts of the writing process and workplace writing.
  • Assistance in exploring, generating, and evaluating ideas.
  • Assistance in seeing writing strengths and writing weaknesses.

Students who attend writing consultations and workshops comprehend their assignments, see improvements in their written and oral communications skills, and develop effective self-editing skills.
