Dillard University is proud to announce the appointment of Rod Hall, a distinguished member of the Class of 1998, to the Dillard University Board of Trustees. Mr. Hall brings over 20 years of experience in government and the private sector, with a focus on transportation and infrastructure policy. A seasoned advisor, he has counseled corporate and municipal clients on legislative, political, and regulatory matters impacting both houses of Congress and the Executive Branch.
Rod’s career includes a presidential appointment by President Barack H. Obama as the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Assistant Administrator for Government Affairs. In this role, he served as the principal advisor to two FAA administrators, guiding engagement with Congress, aviation stakeholders, and governmental organizations. Before joining the Obama Administration, he served as a senior staffer to U.S. Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), bringing valuable insight into federal legislative processes.
“We are honored to welcome Rod Hall back to Fair Dillard in this important leadership capacity,” said Dr. Monique Guillory, President of Dillard University. “Rod is an alum who has readily helped to advance our beloved institution. Last year, he was instrumental in helping Dillard secure a $20M Community Change grant from the EPA, and routinely provides invaluable guidance and assurance as we navigate the myriad shifts in the Federal government. His extensive policy expertise and passion for service will be invaluable to the Board of Trustees as we continue to chart Dillard’s future.”
Please join us in congratulating Trustee Rod Hall and welcoming him back to Dillard in this new role.
