Division of Institutional Advancement and Strategic Communications

 

The Division of Institutional Advancement is one of eight administrative divisions at Dillard University. We advance the university through the support of our students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of Dillard. 

Institutional advancement is made up of four departments:

The Office of Alumni Relations engages and maintains mutually beneficial relationships for our alumni. Alumni Relations create engagement opportunities for alumni to connect with students, foster a sense of community, and encourage continued involvement with the university. 

Communications & Marketing

The Office Communications and Marketing leads the university’s press and media relations, serving as the primary point of contact for external communications and storytelling. The office also oversees the university’s digital presence, including the website, digital marketing, branding, and strategic messaging, while supporting campus partners in sharing timely, accurate, and engaging information with internal and external audiences.ation with internal and external audiences.

Community & Church Relations 

The Office of Church & Community Relations focuses on building and maintaining relationships within the broader community.

Development 

The Office of Development is responsible for creating and maintaining funding opportunities for the university through prospect research, cultivation, and stewardship. The goal is to build relationships with donors, alumni, corporations, and foundations to grow funding for generations to come. 

Advancement Services 

The Office of Advancement Services manages our donor database to support operations.

Research and Sponsored Programs

The Office of Research Sponsored Programs supports campus researchers and their staff with a variety of extramural funding transactions.
