Step 1:
Apply for admission to Dillard University. If you haven’t done so, apply now.
Step 2:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Both student and parent must apply for a Federal Student Aid username and password which is used to electronically sign the FAFSA (apply here). Dillard University’s School Code is: 002004. (Priority deadline is March 1st).
Step 3:
Submit any additional documentation requested by the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships within two (2) weeks of notification.
Step 4:
Check your award status at myDU.
Step 5:
If you were awarded a Federal Direct Loan, you must complete entrance loan counseling and e-sign a Master Promissory Note. Otherwise, your loan(s) will not be disbursed to your student account.
Step 6:
Apply for outside scholarships. Our outside scholarship page is a great resource.
Step 7:
To maintain your eligibility for financial aid, you must meet Dillard University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards.
