Dillard Hosted Under Secretary of State Uzra Zeya

Dillard University had the distinct honor of hosting Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, Uzra Zeya, during her recent visit to the campus. The visit included a series of impactful engagements, highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion in foreign policy and career opportunities within the Department of State.

During her visit, Under Secretary Zeya had the opportunity to meet with Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Demetric Mercadel,District Director of Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr., as well as with students at Dillard University. One of the key highlights of her visit was participating in a panel discussion on State Department careers, where she shared valuable insights and perspectives on the significance of diversity and inclusion in shaping foreign policy that benefits all Americans.
