Dr. Trivia Frazier, PhD, MBA, co-founder, President, and CEO of Obatala Sciences, is an accomplished Dillard University alumna. She completed her undergraduate training in physics and biomedical engineering through a dual degree program between Tulane University and Dillard University in 2007.
In a recent interview with Opportunity Hub (OHUB), Dr. Trivia Frazier discussed a five-year program in partnership with the University of New Orleans (UNO), offering certificates in bio-entrepreneurship. This program provides diverse students exposure to bioscience research, opening doors to careers in laboratories, startups, and pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Frazier emphasized the potential for students from various fields to transition into biotechnology careers through accelerated programs. She also highlighted the growth of bi-omanufacturing in New Orleans, emphasizing its potential to develop therapies benefiting everyone. Her message was clear: ‘Let’s extend that goodwill, pass it forward, and recycle things that could bring good for the next generation, ultimately benefiting society as a whole.’
