Heey everyone! My name is Ashley and I am a Sophomore Film major and Business Administration minor at Dillard University in New Orleans, LA! I am originally from Prince George’s County Maryland!
Moving a thousand miles away from home has definitely been hard, but time really did make everything better! After a while, I began to meet amazing people and find programs and opportunities that have really helped me.
One experience at this university that has significantly impacted me was Hurricane Ida, which hit New Orleans hard at the end of August 2021. Being forced to evacuate and missing almost a month of in person school was very hard.
Overall, adjusting to college has been extremely hard and I still have rough days, but I really am having a great time and I’m enjoying this new chapter! I’d love to chat with new people and make new friends so feel free to reach out to me! - @ashleysarahhh_1
