Longue Vue House and Gardens is thrilled to announce the inaugural Dillard Day on March 17, 2024, extending a warm invitation to the Dillard University community for a day of celebration, connection, and shared history.
Dillard Day marks the beginning of an exciting new tradition, commemorating the longstanding partnership and shared commitment to educational progress between Dillard University and Longue Vue House and Gardens. We are delighted to offer complimentary admission to Dillard University students, faculty, and staff, as we come together to honor our collective journey of learning and growth.
From study sessions on the picturesque Oak Lawn to gaming activities in the Playhouse, Dillard Day offers a diverse range of experiences designed to inspire, entertain, and foster camaraderie. Guests can indulge in moments of self-care in our Whim House, unleash their creativity through hands-on floral workshops, and enjoy competition with classic yard games. Special tours will provide a deeper understanding of Longue Vue’s rich history, offering unique insights into our shared cultural history.
While Dillard students and faculty enjoy complimentary admission, students from other universities are invited to join the festivities at a special half-off rate upon presentation of their student IDs. To enhance the spirit of unity and school pride, we encourage all attendees to proudly represent their universities by wearing their school shirts throughout the day.
