Dillard University Community Relations is one of  more than 100 community-based organizations nationally to help the National Institutes of Health advance precision medicine through the All of Us Research Program

BETHESDA, Maryland – Nick Harris of New Orleans, Louisiana, represented Dillard University at the All of Us Research Program’s Community and Partner Gateway Initiative (CPGI) Annual Meeting in Bethesda, MD, May 22-24.

Dillard University is one of more than 100 community-based organizations across the country that is committed to building one of the world’s most diverse health data sets as part of the All of Us Research Program. By enrolling one million or more participants that reflect America’s diversity, we can learn more about what makes people sick or keeps them healthy, and improve ways to diagnose, prevent, and treat a variety of health conditions.

nick harris“Dillard University Community Relations is excited to be a community partner with the All of Us Research Program,” said Harris. “Through the All of Us Program we provide information and build trust within communities historically underrepresented in biomedical research in an effort to accelerate medical research to advance precision medicine – personalized care responding to individual health needs – to benefit all of us.”

The CPGI Network plays a significant role in supporting the All of Us Research Program to reach its goal. The CPGI Network represents a variety of organizations located throughout the country focused on coordinating outreach and engagement with their local communities about All of Us. Participants will get back information about their health, including, for some people, DNA results.
