We invite researchers, scholars, and community members to submit an abstract for the upcoming conference, Environmental Health Justice Research in Louisiana: Reflecting Back, Looking Forward. This conference will provide a platform to share the extensive body of environmental health justice research conducted in Louisiana and to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange. Attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on past work, explore synergies across various research efforts, and contribute to the broader dissemination of environmental justice initiatives.
This conference is organized by the team behind the NSF-funded Collaborative Data Analysis (CoDA): Science with the People project. The CoDA project engages residents from some of Louisiana’s most polluted areas to collaboratively analyze and interpret government health data in pursuit of health equity and policy reform. The project’s principal investigators are Dr. Michelle Smith (Dillard University), Dr. Barbara Allen (Virginia Tech), and Dr. Alison Cohen (University of California, San Francisco).
While the conference is free to attend, please note that travel expenses will not be covered. We encourage you to share this invitation with others who may be interested in attending or presenting.
