NEW ORLEANS — The Dillard University Concert Choir will render its Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m. The concert will be held at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, located at 5276 Bullard Avenue, where Dr. Johnathan Richardson is pastor.
The choir will feature forty voices from across the United States, the Dillard University Female Ensemble, the Dillard University Male Quartet, and duets and solos.
Selections will include arrangements by Moses Hogan, Roland Carter, Johann Sebastian Bach, and more. A choreographed arrangement of Bach’s Come Sweet Death will also be presented.
The choir is under the direction of Samuel Carver Davenport, associate professor of Music and Concert Choir director, who is in his 47th year as director.
